History

Grindcore emerged in the mid-1980s, primarily in the United Kingdom. It was influenced by the raw intensity of hardcore punk bands like Discharge and the speed and aggression of thrash metal. Bands such as Napalm Death and Carcass were pioneers of the genre, pushing the boundaries of speed and heaviness. Over time, grindcore has evolved to include various subgenres, incorporating elements from death metal and noise music.
